What is Botox?

Botox is the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment, with more than 6 million treatments conducted each year. Botox is a neurotoxin derived from Clostridium botulinum, an organism from the natural environment where it is largely inactive and non-toxic. Botox is used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles by paralyzing the underlying muscles.

 

What are the Benefits of Tox?

How many units of neurotoxin do I need?

The average estimates: Crows Feet: 24 - 30 Units, Frown: 15 - 25 Units, Forehead: 10 - 20 Units.

For male patients, Botox dosage is effective when started from 40 Units. Men require higher doses of Botox as they have a greater muscle mass than women.

 

How long does it last?

The effect of botox injections lasts 4-6 months. After 4-5 sessions the effect lasts longer.
